The Prime Minister of Tuvalu Rt. Hon. Enele Sosene Sopoaga has travelled to Samoa on the invitation of the Samoa government and its people, to be chief guest at the celebration of their independence this week.
The invitation came from the office of Prime Minister Tuilaepa Sailele Malielegaoi, for Prime Minister Sopoaga to join them celebrate the 57th independence of their island country.
Prime Minister’s delegation to Samoa comprised of Madam Salilo Enele, Personal Secretary Mrs. Asogali Panapa and Security guard Mr. Kakeatu Tekui.
The delegation took with them elaborate traditional Tuvaluan mats and other handicrafts intended for gifts during the celebration.
Celebrations are from 29th May to the 3rd June 2019.
